VDA 6.3:2023 – Process Auditor – Examination

Training Description

The examination leading to a certificate allows you to have your qualification independently confirmed so that you can meet the requirements of customers or suppliers regarding auditor competence.

Your certificate will indicate that as a VDA 6.3 Auditor you are able and authorized to independently conduct process audits both internally and on the premises of your suppliers.

Target Audience

The examination is aimed at the candidates for VDA 6.3 process auditors in the product life cycle.

Prerequisites for Attendance

• A copy of your certificate of qualification of the training “VDA 6.3:2023 – Process Auditor – Qualification”,
• proof of completion of a three-day auditor qualification course based on DIN EN ISO 19011,
• proof of knowledge of the Automotive Core Tools: „Automotive Core Tools (ACT) for Quality Management in the Automotive Industry” (ID 415:2022) or Automotive Core Tools for Process and System Auditors (ID 417:2019) or a two-day training from another provider (since 2019) + Automotive Core Tools Quiz from VDA QMC. If the quiz is not passed, you have to take part in „Automotive Core Tools for Process and System Auditors” (ID 417),
• proof of a minimum of five years’ full-time professional experience, preferably in manufacturing companies within the automotive industry, including at least two years’ experience in quality-related fields of activity (certificate of employment). Company apprenticeships can be taken into account for candidates with three years or more of professional experience.

Admission to the exam is only granted after successful review of the application.

Examination/Test

The examination takes place in the form of an audit simulation. The assessment is focused on the performance as an auditor during the simulation. Audit preparation, auditor behavior during the simulation, and debriefing follow-up are evaluated.

The examination consists of:

• a preparation phase (25 minutes),
• an audit simulation (20 minutes),
• a formulation, evaluation and justification of findings (5-10 minutes),
• an interview (5-10 minutes).

For preparation, you may use the written training materials handed out (incl. standards) during trainings you have attended, which you must bring to the examination yourself.

Proof of Qualification

After passing the exam, you will receive an e-Certificate of qualification with a registered number, issued exclusively by VDA QMC (in Poland by VDA QMC’s Partner – SQD Alliance).

The auditor certificate is valid for a period of five years.

Repeat examination

A failed exam may be repeated a maximum of two times up to a year. Every certification exam is a subject to a charge.

• First repeat – 550 PLN (net price per person)
• Second repeat – 2800 PLN (net price per person)
