Training Description

In order to ensure the technical function of modern motor vehicles, the cleanliness of installed systems and fluid circuits becomes increasingly important. The experience of recent years shows that the cleanliness of individual components is absolutely necessary, but in particular not sufficient to ensure the cleanliness quality.

After cleaning the individual parts, numerous influencing variables and processes can be the cause of re-contamination of parts or assemblies with function-critical particles. The identification and assessment of these cleanliness quality impairments as well as the selection of efficient and cost-effective preventive actions and counter-measures represents a comprehensive and responsible challenge.

Target Audience

Specialists and executives of the automotive and supplier industry who are responsible for the planning and optimization of technical cleanliness such as production schedulers, process owners, logistic operators, design and product engineers, quality managers or responsible persons who are in charge of customer supplier relationships.

Objectives

The participants learn in 2 training days on the basis of cleanliness specifications to derive and evaluate measures in order to prevent re-contaminations. Through consideration of various effects from environment, logistics, personnel and assembly equipment, as well as methods for measuring cleanliness influences, the participants learn to approach the technical cleanliness independently and systematically to identify unreasonable cleanliness measures and to avoid unnecessary investments.

The participants receive an introduction into Technical Cleanliness and are acquainted with the Design of cleanliness areas, packaging concepts and logistic processes. Also, Design principles for assembly equipment and consideration of assembly processes. Also, the participants learn about clothing concepts and personnel conduct. Finally, techniques and procedures are presented for measuring cleanliness influences.

Concept and Methods

After each theoretical lecture, a thematic linked case example is provided to encourage the participants to develop their own ideas and to strengthen their new knowledge.

Aim of the exercise is to sharpen the analytic view in order to identify weaknesses in the cleanliness chain and to derive consistent solutions. Every case example is processed by a group of 3-6 participants with an individual task. The results are presented afterwards among the groups und discussed together.

Examination/Test

At the end of the training there is a written test, as a verification of the acquired knowledge.

Proof of Qualification

After passing the test, the participants will receive a VDA QMC certificate of qualification.
